I thought I might as well make a general thread for my NL2 projects/ideas/news because I often rapidly shift my attention from one project to another and have at least 2 going on. I also don't like my tendency to forget about/not update threads often, so hopefully this will help with that.
Strata Coaster with a Polercoaster wrapping around it.
This was something I thought about doing ever since working on Polaris, and even while working on Polaris. Now I can actually make them 2 separate entities.

270 degrees up, 270 degrees down. The Polercoaster's lift is tilted forward slightly.

Yeah, this is a cross between the Sting Ray and Polercoaster, making this a flyer Polercoaster. If you're wondering about the wireframe coaster, I kinda thought about shoehorning a compact, yet thrilling coaster inside the strip of land taken up by the strata.

Roll into the brakes instead of an old fashioned airtime hill. Didn't want to copy off of Kingda Ka.
Feral Scream and... something else?
This may look familiar if you've been paying attention to last year's CoasterCrazy contest, the one where we had to make a wooden coaster in a wooded area with a waterfall.

I think your trackwork and presentation may need a bit of work...but your ideas are super cool. I'd like to see you follow through on both projects.

I agree with DCS but more on the first project rather than the second. your top hat looks very wide to me

I love the concept. Can't wait to see how it looks when completed. Its going to be a pain to support.

Indeed it will, tophat looks weird, but that's probably due to the inversion on the way up and down.

Edit: looked at again and looks better.

Is the train hauling over the tophat or is it a crawl? If it's hauling that is probably why it ended up so wide. If not don't worry about it and look at it as a learning experience. Also your stingray looks really cool I like it.

Taking a break from the strata Polercoaster because even tho I would like to finish it some time, I cannot think of a layout that I like, so I started on a Chance hyper (not a hyper-lite, an actual hyper), which may eventually become a park since I kinda found inspiration from Plantoris park, and Magu's flat ride madness.

Twice as big as Lightning Run in just about every aspect. Slightly over 5,000 feet long, and just over 200 feet high.

Kinda placing preliminary supports as a preview, and to make sure it's not impossible to support later on.

Kinda waiting on TCM (or at least someone) to make Lightning Run looking trains.

Looks awesome, Love the low turns towards the ground on the last picture! I presume you've gone for crazy airtime throughout the ride? The super tall hammerhead looks pretty fun too!

Lol looks like an interesting coaster, just make sure if you make it in Newton that you actually adjust it afterwards and not leave it the way it is, cough cough Lightning Run cough cough :P

Coming back to that strata-coaster now (as well as remembering this thread exists).
I have decided to make a small strip-park out of it. The majority of the park's space will be confined to within the footprint of the strata and I wanna try to see how many attractions I can cram into and around, while allowing space for paths and stuff.

I decided to scrap the flying polercoaster idea because I just wasn't having very much fun with it, so I might replace it with a vertical launcher that wraps around the tower and goes in front of the drop towers.

That one spaghetti coaster based on the drawing I showed in the uber idea thread. Well, just the first few elements, anyway. Thought it might work better as a family coaster. Is 89 feet too tall for a family coaster?

Nice triple interlocking! I would be interested on the forces through the orange loop - looks similar shaping to olympia looping though so probably be okay (or does it have major hangtime?)

89ft is possibly on the upper end of a family coaster I guess, I don't think its an issue though.

Orange loop looks like it has been a bit flattened., like it's beyond circular and entered the next realm starting to be parabolic in the other direction lol.

45 mph. Since I kinda like the look of the layout as it is, I am probably okay with it being kind of a grey area. And when I said '89 feet' I only read the height of the y coordinate, so it might not be quite that much due to the terrain.

Yea, it's a grey area, but would probably be rated a "4" in a Cedar Fair park as long as the ride's turns weren't too intense.

As for a name, I was thinking of naming the whole thing either "___ Pier" or "___ Strip" but I'm not sure what sounds good.

I think I want a Go-Kart track snaking around the layout.

A mini drop tower that's a mere 65.6 feet tall (20 meters), to help prepare you for the bigger version just across the park. There's a minor glitch I encountered. At the end of the ride cycle, the gondola just teleports to the top of the tower for a few frames, and then back to normal.

^ Could be because the height is so small, I think Projektion said it can't go lower than 20 meters. Could explain the glitch.

I love the colors for the coaster, not sure about what the name should be though.

For now I decided to name the park "Strata Strip."
The small drop tower is exactly 20.0f in the script file.
I had thought about maybe moving the looping coaster to the other side of Star Scraper's (the strata) brake run so the brake hill would be easier to support.
