Bobbejaanland is going to build a new spinning coaster for the season 2011. It is going to be a spinning coaster from Maurer Sohne with the model SC 3000.

The coaster is going to custom made for Bobbejaanland and will be build on the land where the "Mambo" and the "Bobbydrop" used to be.

The coaster is going to be approximately 620m (2034ft) long and about 21m (69ft) tall. They are trying to keep as many trees as possible and to keep a nice environment where they use as few supports as possible.

The layout has been leaked out and backed up for your enjoyment:

Custom layouts are always intersting and this one looks like it should be pretty good!

I love watercolor markers, they blend so well!

These look like they are from the artist, that's too bad. I hope someone doesn't lose their job over the leak.

I rather think the ride is going to go over Mambo's roof !
Looks like a pretty cool and fun layout, looking forward the construction beginning !

@ LeFLO

when you read the text on the drawing it says: "attractie mambo word afgebroken", which is Dutch for: mambo will be demolished[:)]

If I look to the place were mambo stands there is written:

Attractie ... wordt afgebroken.

translated:

attraction ... will be broken down.

edit.:

Anyone else notice that on the front page, the photo used looks an awful lot like a penis? lol

I don't feel bad, now that someone else said it.

My husband and I have season passes every year. The bobby drop was taken down a few years ago and as the season wound down this past year, the mambo had been taken apart to its barest skeleton pit. All the parts had been moved out. We figured a new ride was going in so to hear it will be a coaster is quite pleasing to the mind. I love a good coaster and smoething between the typhoon and the evolution will be fun indeed.

Back on-topic:

I hope they will not raise the entrance fee so i can go to there with some friends making the park unsafe. [:p]

I wish there were more Maurer spinners around here, the only one I've been on is steel dragon lol.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

I wonder why they decided to go to the spined track style for a spinner.

^Spined track -> more resistant -> fewer supports -> saving of metal -> cheaper.

Here are some other pics of the construction of Dizz:
