If you look at the skyline in Cali's Great America you seeing something missing. That missing roller coaster has made its way along 2873.7 miles of highways to arrive at its new home, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. This ride will receive a new control system as we as a new train and track refurbishment. It has been cleared to be built in the lot formally held by the Laser roller coaster at the bottom of the park. Although the ride is going in this location, it is not clear weather the ride will be placed on the midway, or if it will be placed where Laser stood.

Sweet! I'm excited. I've never rode an inverted boomerang before and this is a really special one.

Laser was taken down because it was sold. Laser and maybe Invertigo did sit on a rather large pool that was filled in when Laser came to Dorney.

Look for Invertigo to be open in May 2012.

New best ride in the park...easily. This ride has more forces than Talon and Hyrda combined.

Bah... Invertigo was actually a very fun coaster, though closed a lot of the time. It's actually much smoother than you think, and when your riding in either the front or back, you get some MAJOR whiplash either coming out of the cobra towards the loop (in the back), or through the loop itself (front car). Really upset that this ride is gone now because that leaves you with Top Gun, and Drop Zone to have fun on. The rest of the rides there are mattresses and pillows. I would bet money that they are going to throw in an Intamin ZackSpin. Or however that's love spelled.
So, my friend came up to me the other day and asked if I wanted a frozen banana, and I said no, but I want a normal banana later, so... yea.

A very forceful ride surely, but nothing special. Overshadowed bigtime by Talon and Hydra IMO, even if those aren't the most exciting rides ever. A solid addition, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it, even if I weren't a big coaster fan.

Whats going to become of PGA now? there only 7 coasters left. And Demon,Flight Deck, grizzly, and vortex are the last major ones.

Does a park need 2 shuttles, and 3 inverts? I mean I'm excited for a "new" ride, but they already have Talon, and a Possessed. Now they're getting a third invert (covering all 3 major manufactures) plus a second inverted shuttle. Something about it just doesn't seem right.

Lack of originality, lack of variety, the ride in dorney already are just okay (apart from Talon) and what they need is another ride to match Talon, not a crappy boomerang.

^ There is no other park in the US or Canada that has three different inverted roller coasters in operation at the same time. Thats the main reason Dorney gets it, for the record. [;)]

To be honest, the park internally know this ride is not a big deal and is not playing it up in the local media outlets. I think our PR people know its a pile of crap.

Sorry to bump an old topic, but our private Dorney Employee FB page posted about 20 mins ago saying the official announcement with name, logo, etc. will be tomorrow at 10:30am. I already know everything down to the color of the ride and what not just from talking to people, and I'm sure most of you know the name and can guess the colors. The logo looks to be pretty cool. I'll head down in the morning and snap a few pictures for you guys. Just wanted to let everyone know that we finally can stop being curious about all this!

Since you mentioned color I assume its not the original color, which is good because that would be too similar to possesed. I'm not complaining that this will be in dorney I just don't agree with the placement since it is 50 feet from possesed. Oh well I always wanted to ride an inverted boomerang and now I will get to every year.
What are these for?

The one at Kings Island was fun when I rode it. AND we will become the first park in the world with 3 Inverted coasters! :)

And you are assuming correct with the colors.

I know and that sounds awsome I'm just saying I think the laser lot is bad place for it. obviously the dimmensions work out perfectly though and I don't imagine many other types of roller coaster fitting into that area. I just hope it won't be closed down as much as demon drop is. I've been down(up currently) there 6 times this year and Demon drop has been open twice.
What are these for?

Yea the rain can really ruin DD cuz it can't operate if there is even a trace of water on it. So even if it's a nice day if the track is wet it can't run.
