I was on my PC today, building a coaster in NL. When I decided to place some supports on one side like I always do to get an idea of how the coaster is going to look when I'm done, I almost vomited just looking at those crap prefab supports. I realized then that this is not going to bother me because I'm going to build it with custom supports but then it hit me even the prefabs sometimes looks more realistic than custom supports so I decided to create some objects to make the whole look of all my future ride?????????s even better.

Here?????????s what I've done so far.

The support beams are still standard NL but I've build a connector object with bolts and a better support foundation.

I'm starting with the connections to the track tomorrow. [;)]
I'm going to try do create a connections for most of the popular coaster designs supports.

It doesn't take up much of the fps but you obviously can't over do it when placing the connectors.
For example don't build an arrow lift support structure, transform it into round tubes and place connector for every 2 feat.[:D]

Yeah but that was just a demonstration. I also think that it might be a better way of laying out foundations instead of letting it have to cope with a shear force when the tube has to meet the concrete at an angle.

^well, then why hasn't the industry done that already? it's not that much work of making a node 2 feet above the footer and connect that with the actual support.
