Been a long time since my last post but I figured I could show you something I've been working on, among other projects. Usually I tease my stuff over at NE, but I wanted to see if people here still care about RCT2, so you're getting a first taste of my attempt at custom supporting this thing. I was already pretty much done supporting it with a custom set of those standard woodie supports, but I couldn't get the large sloped curves to look right, so in a fit of intense self loathing I've decided to do full on custom supports for this thing. Nothing perfect, and I wish there was a way to actually build zero G stalls in RCT2 (that's what that roll over the first drop is supposed to be), but since my skills with NL2 are near zero I have to settle for good ol' RCT2. The supports for the stall will get an overhaul as well to make it look more like on Goliath.

As you can see I'm trying to go for a uniform height for the braces between the vertical supports that applies to the whole coaster. I've been trying to kind of recreate what they did supportwise with Iron Rattler, I hope it just doesn't end up looking awkward ingame.

And here is how the whole thing looked like with the other supports:

Makes me wish I could figure out NL2s editor, because I'm hitting a lot of limits with this stuff, but at the same time it is amazing how much you can do with an 14 year old game thanks to the dedicated community.

First off....you're alive!

Secondly, I'm impressed as hell. That looks amazing. What are the stats?

Thanks CK. Obviously this is a merged ride with the water coaster track as base, so the stats are all over the place. Wouldn't even have dared to build something like this in vanilla RCT2 because of all the merges, OpenRCT has made things so much easier.

Wow, those supports already look really well detailed! How much time did you spent in it?

Fun fact OpenRCT2 has a new feature that allows you to build a ride and change the track style. You could build something like this as a B&M floorless and change it to wood instead of using merging!

Honestly, I have no idea, but it takes a long time. More time than any sane person would spend on this.

Thanks. The station is still WIP.

I know. I have thought about using that feature as well, but it will not work on this layout, cause I need 3 different track types to make everything look good.
