When Montu first opened, there was a crocodile tank undernaeath the turn out of the station. They took this out shortly afterwards, however, when they realized that crocodiles could jump.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Six Flags Great America has until 12-31-09 to remove the Little Dipper from kiddieland. From what I heard, they haven't even started. They better get their asses down there and get moving.

You can thank Catherine the Great of Russia for roller coasters. Starting as a trend in Russia during the winter, she wanted to be able to enjoy the "Russian Mountains" any time of the year, so she had wheel attatched to her sled and had a ramp built. The rest is history...
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Griffon had to be painted light blue in order to "blend in with the skyline". Damn you Kingsmill...

It's much deeper than it looks, Jonny. Trust me, I know a little more than you do about Montu.

The first launch at Mr Freeze resulted in $350,000 worth of fried electrical components. Before the ride reopened for good in 2003 Six Flags over Texas had purchased Mr Freeze twice.

^that reminds me:

Six Flags Great America was supposed to get a Mr. Freeze, but because of problems with the other ones, they built Camp Cartoon Network instead.

If Six Flags wasn't building a Themepark in Madrid, All coasters build in that park would have been spread out through the other parks. With Batman the Ride going to Movie Park Germany instead of the SLC they currently have.

The lift hill from the old velvet coaster at blackpool pleasure beach was used in the construction of "roller coaster" and can still be ridden today. (well, next season)
