as posted on facebook:-
We are very sorry to anyone who visited the Passholder Preview Day at THORPE PARK yesterday (Sunday 13th March 2011) and didn't have the day out they were expecting.

Our Merlin Annual Passholders are incredibly important to us and we put the event on as an additional Passholder Perk to provide you and your friends with access to the Park and to experience our new rides and attractions before we open up for the full season.

Although it was great to see so many of you at the event, this year we saw an unprecedented number of Passholders turn up, so much so, that the final numbers were four times more than that last year. It's evident that Passholder Preview Days are a popular perk, and more so than we anticipated.

Our staff members worked incredibly hard to try to ensure a smooth running of the event, with managers working in front line positions and additional staff being drafted in at short notice. However, despite our efforts, we do apologise once again to those of you who didn't get the day out you might have expected.

We have of course taken on board the comments we've received from you so far and will re-assess how Passholder Preview Days are held moving forward to ensure we are delivering an enjoyable experience. We still plan to go ahead with the Passholder Preview Days at Chessington World of Adventures Resort and LEGOLAND Windsor as planned, although we do expect them to be very popular.

If you do have any additional comments or questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our customer service team via email at merlin.annualpass@merlinentertainments.biz.

We look forward to welcoming you back to our attractions again soon.

Kind Regards

Merlin Annual Pass Team
