Mamba recreation started. Can someone tell me how to make my own template using satellite images?

I haven't done it successfully, (never really needed to) but I believe you go into google maps or earth, print screen, crop it in paint, save it, then import it into FVD++
It's been a long time

I'm still trying to get the scale right. I'll check with Stephan and let you know.

Thanks. I just thought if I try a recreation I may be more disciplined if you know what I mean. However how does the shaping look?

considering the only difference between steel force and mamba is an extra turn, I can say from my experience with steel force that that looks pretty close
What are these for?

I think I perfected Morgan drops on accident while trying to make B&M drops lol.

So Mamba or Steel Force? Which one would be a little easier? I know the layout is pretty much the same but the shaping on the turn around is different on Steel Force. I'm using FVD++ so keep that in mind.

1. The scale is a bit tricky to get right. When you import an image to use for the ground texture, it's going to resize to 440m x 440m. Using the skyrush layout from the rcdb page, the scale in the corner denotes 30m for the entire scale length, but it resizes to 25m. Use that as you will.

2. I'm probably going to make you cry with this, but whatever. You're nowhere near experienced enough with FVD++ or NL2 (from what I've seen, anyway) to make a recreation. I might suggest trying to perfect a manufacturer style before trying to recreate anything.

You're probably right about that. I just get ahead of myself sometimes. I have been switching between B&M, Morgan, and Arrow to see which one is best for me right now. So far it is Morgan and B&M.

I'd say that looks pretty accurate. Keep going with this project!

I shall then. I notice that with Morgan airtime hills the first half of the hill has a bit of a straight section while the second half does not.

Edit: Also does the steel force station have a small negative pitch in the station? I'm trying to get every detail. Even the height has to be perfect. So far the height is 60.961 meters. Its only .003 feet off!

I don't the exact pitch but its large enough that its noticeable. I would say theres about 3-5 feet height difference from the end to the beginning

I don't think Mamba or Steel Force were designed based on forces...I think it's the other way around in those cases, but I could be wrong. I'd maybe try geometric sections if I were you.

Yeah I gotta redo the drop cause it's not perfect. I used geometric sections for the majority of the drop.

The drop looks a little steeper in the editor than the sim, but that could be the angle of the photo.

I think you need to extend that right catwalk much further than the top of the lift.
