Hey erveryone, as winter break has began for me I will be hosting a track tennis event, only using newton as the method of building. I need to know what track style would most appeal to you guys. Please vote on these options of track style...

*If you have any suggestions post them!*

Out of those I'd say B&M Floorless, as far as other styles/manufacturers an Itamin like Cheetah hunt would be cool, or maybe an Arrow like Tennessee Tornado might work as suggested in chat.

B&M Twisted, they hardly ever get made which is a shame cause I think they have really cool trains.

I am with Wing-Over, however, I dont think you know how a "Track Tennis" match is played. If your going to do it right, you cant limit people to using Newton or other tools since not every one can use them. Besides, a large number of Newton coasters on the exchange suck because they have no character.

agreed with the no character statement, especially since thats important with this kind of contest
What are these for?

Ok, it may not be a newton track tennis, it could save me time on the rules. I also might get rid of the cheetah hunt style coaster, seeing how jakizles Intamin blitz one went. I may even just begin it some time today with the twisted steel coaster tack style.

Just an idea, looking at the popularity of the cheetah hunt option, how about doing something like an interpretation of "If B&M made an LSM coaster"? (With twister trains) Loads of scope for creativity, if we're willing to choose a fantasy coaster instead.

And I liked the idea of making it just with newton, it was something different to normal track tennis. If it lacks character it's because it's been poorly designed.

Eh, I don't know [:P], I was thinking just some regular track tennis with the b&m twisted style. I think more people would play if they could do anything they wanted (building wise)... The final decision of this will probably end with a coin flip.

Are you trying to be ironic and make the track terrible on purpose or....?

I think newton would be a great idea. I always thought the main problem with the old track tennis rides was that there was bumps or jerk in between elements so it never flowed. Even if some of the track is lacking character I think the trade off is worth it.

ugh way too many intamins. getting tired of them. I would go with the Stand-up since its the twisted steel only cooler. And standup coasters tend to be able to take larger inversions.

I thought you said it was going to be a Newton file? Are we just adding elements to the NL editor from newton?

^No, please post on the official topic. We decided not to do that, because that would limit people who are on macs, and people who don't use newton.
