eh, rene, sorry bout that, kinda forgot it in the enthousiam

anyways, here an article that appeared the "Dagblad De Limburger" (the daily limburger)

Toverland expansions plans

Amusementpark Toverland in Sevenum will be adding two new
rides the next two years. The investment will stand for eight
new fulltime jobs at Toverland.

One of the new rides is once again a world premier and carriers
the project name "Flying Machine", says Toverland boss C. Maessen,
"The attraction will feature hanging gondolas were the guests
can go either alone or with two and regulate the speed themselves
and fly along the 700 meter long track.

The other ride is one of the oldest in the book, a woodie. In this case:
a 1 kilometer long track. Both attractions will be costing several millions
but Maessen didn't gave any details. "They will be build after each other,
one for the 2007 season and the other for 2008. Which one we decide to build
first is yet to be decided."

Toverland has already asked for permission to the city of Sevenum, which has
promised to look at the request as soon as possible.

The new rides are the first of an even larger expansion, scheduled for 2010.
Maessen: "We already have succesfully realised 2 halls and a large outside
section with the Boosterbike as main attraction. Around 2010 we are planning to
start fase 3."

Fase 3 will, among other things, mean that the size of toverland will be
doubled. Also in the so called 'masterplan' are plans for a hotel. Maessen:" I
doubt the hotel will be part of the 2010 expansion, there are plans for an hotel
but first park should have more guests per year. At the moment there are too few
guest to keep a hotel running."

I really dont like the sound of 'phase 2'. Self controlled gondolas of which you can control the speed??? Cant be too fast as far as colissions are concerned, as there will be always one ass who will find it amusing too stop.

But the woody already sounds great. After Thunderbirds huge success it cant be bad can it, and its also a little taller so maybe its a little faster too. Cant wait, woodys are popping up all over the place now. Maybe England may get a new one[:)].
Great find guys!

Toverland already has got a ride where you can control your own speed, this is a metal gutter going trough the woods and next to the gutter is a electral line which powers the carts, the speeds aren't that high and when a person before you stops, you automaticly stop also,

the 2nd attraction will be the suspended version of the so called bobcart

UPDATE:

I just got back from survivalcourse-training, and i've looking and asking around, and here's what i've dug up:
-The woodie will be located behind the Boosterbike
-The path will start at the turn after BackStroke's drop
-The path to the new area will go underneath the two parallell bunnyhops
-Trees have been planted for the path and the tiles of the path are also re-arranged

to bad i didn't bring my camera, i hope to get some pic of what i mean

Uuuhm, there where always tree in the directon of the Camelback of the Boosterbike... no-one noticed it before. Well, they should have moved the tiles friday evening, cause in by day it was like it was since the opening of Magic Forest. The original idea was a path underneath the Boosterbike's Camelback that would lead to the entrance of the Boosterbike. To bad it didn't come... For the people who can read dutch: www.toverland.info. I don't want to promote my own website, but al the latest inside news from Toverland is posted there by Toverland self or me. So hey, what more do you want?

For the people who know Toverland very wel, behind the Boosterbike is a big chunk of ground don't you think Hyyyper? The location of the woody will be straigth left to the little forest that you can see from out the que of the Boosterbike. Caroline told me that in with future plans this is going to be the middle of Toverland... so that means alot!!!

If you look well, you already see the power cables in the ground, some of them stick a little bit out of the ground

Jip, on your picture you also picked the little forest behind the little forest :) Haha. Although you can't see it verry well on your picture, there's a path between them.
