I was wondering what you guys think of this news. [:D] I had heard this earlier. But this is now for real.

My opinion.

Let it come. Burn several movies on 1 HVD. Cool. [8D]

Only one minor. There's no hardware who can take this yet. But there working on it and we will have to wait if they really can make it work for people. I'll wait and keep you updated. [:p] [:p]

Check the link. And give your responce.

I was shocked at two discs. On the left, I believe that's larger and I really amazed. Why can be gold? not primary colors or anything.

At another page they say. That if they keep working further. Maybe this year it will be ready to get in Japan. Next year in America. And maybe the year after that Europe.

Blu-ray and HDDVD will be ready this year all over the world. Or else early next year. If they keep working on it.

But probably it will take 1 or 2 years before everyone can get HVD.

And Blu-ray will be used in the PS3. So that will be used for videogames. If they are gonna use HDDVD for games i don't now. But it will not take very long before we can get a Blu-ray or HDDVD drive in our PC. [:D]

Dude, i could fit 100x more songs on that than in my music library. that would be roughly 26740 songs on one CD!

The primary thoughts for a bigger disks is HDTV. That is only available in America and Japan. HDTV is More sharper and more beautifully screen than the people in Europe can get. And HDTV is too big to paste on a DVD. So they want a bigger disc. That's the main reason for Blu-Ray and HDDVD. HVD is just showing what they can get on a single disc.

But if it is good enough and not too expensive. Let it Come :)

I doubt your gonna fill a terrabyte, that's over 1000 gigabytes. That's an ungodly ammount of games, music, ect.
Question:HVD = High Volume Disk?

"Holographic Versatile Disc"
I don't know how they would fill it up. But it's just a example to show the world how much they can get on a disc. And Japan will be the only country where you can buy it first. Before USA and Europe will take another 2 or 3 years. I Guess.
