Fun. And that's it. Boyfriend took me to it in January in the Twin Cities. It was so awesome. My first and only concert... I mean to attend more concerts but it's not something that harmonizes with my schedule verrrry frequently, and also I don't look for events enough [:(] There are so many artists I need to see live (literally endless list), I just have to be more proactive on the situation.

I'll go to Earshakerdays in Zurich at the 20th. It's mostly metal, but for me, the real star is Clutch. Can't ****ing wait to see them live.
All RCCAs should be RMC'd. And that event shall be henceforth known as the Rollercaust.

I'm stoked to see NIN later this year. Have never seen them live but have heard (and seen, I have their live DVD's) that NIN is one of the best live acts of all-time. Never thought I'd get the chance to see them live, their hiatus lasted quite a while, but they're back! They're doing a lot this year, a single that just came out, Hesitation Marks coming out in September, and touring like crazy. Way to surprise, Trent.
"Don't be a disability"... yep, still keeping that. :P

I bet you were screaming with tears of joy when Nickelback sang your favorite song by them (i.e. every one).
Oh, were you expecting something here?

Yeah I was thinking Nickelback should form a supergroup with Maroon 5 so the singers of each could do duets.

Tool is tolerable for an "elevator music" kind of application in the background while you're trying to work if it's part of like a Pandora mix or something that occasionally pops up. It helps that I can't tell the difference between half of their songs because they use the same non-standard 43.33/111 time signature or whatever the hell it is. the only reason I'd ever see Tool live is to watch Milla Jovovich prance around on stage in minimal clothing while she "sings" with that weird spin-off group (I'm forgetting the group name and want to call it "Hole". Hole is Courtney Love's territory though. I'd swear the name has something to do with balls or something, anyways....) of Tool because she looks goddamned fantastic. Also the lead guy makes wine I think which is A-OK in my book.

As for Rush they appeared in a Need for Speed game as part of EA's "lets not hire people to make a soundtrack" approach and I thought they were Nickelback for a month until I saw the song credit on the bottom of the screen, so I'll let that be my opinion of them.

Avenged Sevenfold is what corporations have decided "edgy punk" sounds like to suburban and rural people. They're N'Sync with double bass and black T'shirts. Quite frankly they're just as much a pile of sissies as the various pretend-punk-for-rurals/suburbanite groups of the past like Good Charlotte. I'm so sorry you had to see them.

They're kind of like Nickelback, which is what rurals have been told "hard rock" sounds like by various corporate people. That awful "You look so much cuter with something in your mouth" is so obviously walk-the-line-and-pretend-to-be-controversial if you can even call it that.

That being said, I pretty much abhor everything Freddie goes to but I at least respect it as an entity since they're doing their own thing. They don't have various record companies shoving a traffic cone up their bum and twisting it around to get them to do exactly what they want. I don't know this, but I'd imagine their CD's are very "what you hear is what you get" compared to most since they won't rely on being filtered into oblivion at the studio.

The worst manifestation of this is the new techno groups that define a genre based on beats-per-minute. That's just the record label subdividing the same piles of crap up so their fans can feel more unique. Thank god dubstep is starting to die since I accidentally hear less and less of it at the gym.

Seen too many to place them all on a list from rock to electronic not to mention the recording of many local bands.

While avenged isnt my favorite band, i would have to disagree on that statement, their old stuff before they got big is amazing, which is true for most rock/metal bands. And they are very proficient in their respected instruments.
What are these for?
