The cost of their rides is simply astronomical. 34.5 million USD for a ride 255ft tall?

It would help if they overengineered everything with a truss like intelligent people do instead of the "lets make 6 unbelievably massive poles and a stupidly thick track for appearance" method.

If you want to talk about astronomical ride cost, let's talk about a large scale Maurer Sohne...I find it hard to believe that Aventura's coaster costs more than Leviathan, if it actually does it must be due to length, there's no statistic available there. And for those derping...Leviathan's lift hill begins after a 180* turn from the station, that's it and that's all.

Leviathan's lift support method seems rather similar to what Intamin did with I305 with the massive track and minimal support beams, with an arch type structure left at the crown. Skyrush at Hershey employs a similar method.

Theming and stuff is probably included in that price.

They only work like half the time. It makes no sense, but it should be good now.

If the [img] tags continue to be a problem, then I'll take them off.

right? I think this is the real reason B&M giga's have never been built before. doesn't seem like the most bang for your buck, imo. If Intamin had designed up, i'm sure costs would be down by at least 8 million. Pretty significant.

I'm done dealing with those stupid links. I've taken tags off, and put them back on, and they're still having problems. The links work. Trust me. But something will randomly decide to deny access to them. If you REALLY wanna see them, then go to Nov 2nd's update on Screamscape. But if they're already working when you read this, then yipee.

Well I won't lie to you. I don't know the first thing about the workings of the interwebz. The point is: there was a construction update and gouldy linked us to it. Thanks gouldy.

Intamin debuted I- 305 as a 2nd generation intamin coaster- the first of its kind. SkyRush will follow
