Why does it cut out? (RCT3)

I tried downloading an RCT3 park and I went and opened it, and the loading screen came up and everyting, but then, all of a sudden, it quit on me...so I tried again...same thing...This also happened when I saved a coaster and tried to build it again...I have absolutly no idea what to do.[:(]

Do you have the patches?

TWO- insert your RCT3 disc in the computer and when the menu opens up, click updates and your computer will search the internet for official RCT3 patches

I downloaded the update, and I tried to open the park, and a few error mesages came up saying it couldn't find the texture file or whatever, and I hit ok, and then it colsed on me again.

i didnt kbow rct3 has patched what can you do on them!

But that update didn't help my problem

Sounds stupid, but it doesn't sound like you installed the updates. If you did, then it's because file is probably corrupt.

what also could be the problem:
- Have you installed rct3 in the folder like it said?:
So C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 ? If not then you could have the problem because of the other location that it can't find the correct folder to install...
- Have you registred it?
- Are you playing with the demo version?
The demo version is fully limited so updates won't work. Also if you want to install a official update for rct3. Then you could have the problem that it can't find files because of installing the demo, and not the full version.
- For the first problem: Does your pc meet the requirements?
It could be that the pc is just too heavy to run rct3. So that it knocks off...
- Have you updated the drivers?
- Are you running multiply things on the background?
Have you running msn? other programs that just eat your pc speed? Close those down. A reason could be that it's stopping working cause it can't just give more speed then your asking from the pc. So it automatically closes rct3. (rct3 eats here there half of my speed and that's alot!)
- Reinstall rct3, backup some saved games and coasters and uninstall it totally. Then install it again with cd's. Install in the folder that it's saying so: C:\Program Files\Atari\RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. Let it install. Then install the updates that are available for it. Restart pc then, and run rct3. That might can fix some problems because of bad instalation...

Ok, just downloaded the template for the tycoon 3 contest, and it worked...so it's just the file was corrupt...thanks for your help!
