I think no limits 1.8 is better than no limits 2.0

Is it because a few missing features in NL2 are somehow more important than the loads of new features added?

Only thing I have to agree about this with is that the fluency of the ride in 1.8 would always be consistently smooth for me, whereas in NL2, it can get laggy and then it speeds up to catch up with the sound and itself.

So because YOU can't figure it out the new program with all of its new and incredibly powerful features, that makes the old one better?

Hey, I'm in the same boat, I can't figure out the editor and how to build coasters for the life of me, but NL2 is still much better because of all the features it includes.

Watch some tutorials, I'm sure some idiot on youtube sits in front of his computer talking to no one about how to build in NL2

Yeah because using calculus in 1.8 to make a smooth track is about as user friendly as getting your nuts stuck in a band saw. Not doing that is so much worse.

Things change, adapt and get over it. The game's possibilities increased by at least an order of magnitude between version 1.8 and 2.0, and from the perspective of someone who can't run the game currently, this is like complaining that your new corvette is stick shift when you're used to automatics. Spend some time to grow a pair and it'll be rewarding.

And anyone who had purchased a Corvette, but wants an automatic gearbox, has purchased a Corvette for all of the wrong reasons.

NL2 is vastly better than NL1.8. Yes, the editor is different, and yes this means you need to relearn how to use the software. But no, this doesn't mean that the software isn't better then the predecessor.

The way you build in NL2 makes infinitely more sense than in 1.8, once you've got to grips with it. Some elements were more simple in the previous software, like stations, for example - but that's an unavoidable consequence of the new building system, which is vastly better for the other 95% of the track.

Maybe it is a bit of a ball-ache having to relearn how to build using the software, but surely this is hugely outweighed by how much better your tracks will be than on NL1 having learned the new improved construction system in NL2, and all of the other new features on top of that.

tl;dr: Take the time to learn the new software to the point where you feel comfortable using it again, and you'll be having a greatly better experience than you were with the previous software.

There are issues here and there but for the most part, building a ride up that's up to par with what has become the standard is much easier.
