I just got my free upgrade to windows 7 in the mail a few days ago. What i really need to know is if NL will work with windows 7. I've seen a few on here having issues with it. I just need to know if it will work ok.

NL on Vista works flawlessly on my machine. But if the drivers from your hardware's CD dont work, Microsoft automaticly downloads drivers for your graphics card.

How did you manage to get a free upgrade?

I bought this computer back in august. I think if your computer was purchased before sometime in June, you get the free upgrade.

Ok, my editor is so laggy and I can't seem to fix it regardless of switching compatibility modes. Anyone have any ideas what's up?

EDIT: All good, problem gone.

i don't have any problems with any of my programs in 7. if u r connected to the internet when u upgraded, u should have downloaded everything u need. the only thing i can tell u is to go to the microsoft website and put in a support request.

HP is pretty slow with their free upgrades; I won't be getting mine until later mid-November. NL's working on Vista just fine though. (except for slow mouse scrolling in editor, but issue isn't present with touchpad)

7 should run just about everything faster from what I've heard. Obviously, you got to check up on the drivers for everything, but with those up to date, I can't imagine there being many, if any issues with NL. Maybe I'll post back once I get 7.

Windows 7 64 bit works as a charm with NL without any problems for me. Works well with SM also. I think Windows 7 is the one to have for the most part.

I just upgraded to Windows 7 today, but NL's graphics got screwed up. I got the evil "No Hardware Acceleration" message. Any ideas how to solve it?

^ I got that at first too. Look for driver upgrades, I believe that's all I had to do.

Since I started using Vista, node selection in the editor has been painfully slow, sometimes taking up to 20 seconds to highlight a single node. I'm now running Windows 7, and I still have the same issue. This was never a problem on my old XP computer, which had less ram, a slower processor, and a weaker graphics card.

@ markhudson, maybe try to start no limits in administrative mode.. Right-Click on the .exe for that..

I am using windows 7 for half a year now and No Limits worked fine ever since.

I'm having a problem. I'll take screenshots of my coaster, and I can't find them in the screenshots folder. I have Windows 7, so yeah....
Oh are you confused about where the reply is? Well look directly above this and kablammo! There it is!
