WTF!

Okay I've been palying RCT3 for about a month now. I created an awesome and perfectly synced dueler in sandbox mode. I have used the file, saved it (obviously when I turn off my computer), and turned it back on to edit it. I have done this about 5 times. Then today, when I try to load the track (in the same manner I ALWAYS have), I get a message that says something like "Could not load track, the following (non-installed) add-on packs are missing:". It doesn't even list the add-on packs (which I know exist, but I know this track MUST function fine without the expansion packs since I have used it without the expansion packs before.

Also, my system specs are way above the minimum, and my drivers and game version are updated to the latest versions. I also have installed no additional objects or files to the game since I installed it.

So ... what gives? I'm guessing that I can't be the only one that is or has experienced this glitch.

Can someone please shed some light on this? Because I'm surely not buying the expansion packs for a base product that functions poorely in the first place.

did you build the ride with an expansion pack installed? if so, you could have turned low-friction on, a feature that is not available in the orignal RCT3. If you dont have any expansions I would recommend checking out the Atari forums.

EDIT: oh wait, i guess i didnt read your topic very well, i saw you never had any of the expansions, in that case I would just check out the Atari forums.

Yea thank god the Atari tech help sucks ... I'm definetly not buying any more Atari games.

What a dissapointment.

I was planning on uploading it too ...

luckily I here[dorkhat], this happen to me a couple of weeks ago. try deleting the file and use the back-up file (that's what they are there for) just untype the .bak from the file and it will turn into a RCT3 park file. try that[lol]

Nope didn't work.

I figured RCT3 would be worse than RCT2 for numerous reasons, but wow now it's just pissing me off more than I could of ever imagined.

have u used any of the expansion packs because that is the only reason that message should pop up
