Was hoping for an original layout, but I guess this is to be expected with a prototype :?

At least this one looks way cooler than the McDonald's coaster.

Yea this definitely looks a lot better than Wonder Woman; I'd definitely prefer actual interaction with theming (weaving around all of the rock formations) over just being on top of a lake the whole time. I also love the orange-brown color scheme on this thing!

Looks like a fun ride with a lot more theming than is typical for Cedar Fair. I wouldn't travel across the country for it, but I'll definitely be making the 7 hour drive up to the park next year.

Yeah, I'm rather obsessed with this ride and can't wait to see it go up. :D

Now if we can just see a Vekoma Bermuda announced somewhere in the US, my life will be complete. :P

Well they took a big dump on Six Flags' face, theming!
Although they won't get anyone here from the MidWest/East Coast since Texas is closer with the same ride.

I kind of feel like coining a new word like RMcdonald's.

I can't believe so many parks actually go through with such extremely low capacity prototype. I would have expected from Six Flags to sink so low, but Cedar Fair too? This is going to be like 6+ hour queues at ride opening due it's capacity...
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)

^ I doubt it will be that bad. The ride cycle is like 25 seconds lol

I think a lot of people underestimate the capacity of the Raptors compared to other major coasters. Yes, 600 riders per hour is not particularly high, but by comparison a typical two train GCI is 850 and those seem to do okay in major parks. Granted, unlike major parks that have GCIs this will likely be a top coaster at CGA (though I'm not sure it's popularity will be higher than Gold Striker), but given the attendance at the park I'm predicting waits will probably be 40-60 minutes most days. That is, of course, assuming CGA can operate the ride efficiently with all three trains running.

25 seconds for loading and unloading a train would be very short.

Unless you're talking about Europa park.

That ain't gonna happen, especially if they have bins in the station.

Indeed - I could see this working if you've got enough ops working and they're actually proficient. But this isn't Europa Park so I still think it will be a problem despite the rolling station.

Last I heard Railblazer won't have the moving station, but maybe the park will change their minds and go for one.

So the Six Flags iteration has a moving station but not this one?

Apparently CGA has not decided whether or not they want a moving station yet and that's why the renders don't include it.

Ah I see, thanks for the info. I just presumed as Six Flags announced it to quieten the hype about bad capacity CGA would naturally follow suit!

I see the first piece of track has gone on for Railblazer (look in the bottom right hand corner of the image).
