As it was mentioned on page 4 of that thread, Atari and Frontier are botching RTC4 into the game announced for the Nintento 3DS.

I might be nuts but perhaps I think I'll buy the big nintindo 3ds just to get that rct 3ds when it comes out.

Frontier's new roller coaster game is NOT affiliated with the Roller Coaster Tycoon series, as stated here:

http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=2518

They are, however working on a new roller coaster game without Atari.

^ Wonderful, sounds like Thrillville meets themepark - Roller Coaster (PS2 title)... I won't be excited until hell freezes over and Chris Sawyer gets involved with RCT4.

Wouldn't get my hopes up if they're also building an iPad version (which they are, by the sound of it).

Yes they are. Its because it will most likely be multi platform.

There might be a little rumor that RCT4 will be out by 2015. I dont know how true that is but I still maintain that its not going to be out at all. Therefor there is still no such thing as RCT4. Unless the owner of Atari can prove me wrong on this since I'm a big skeptic.

It's a thing, but it's unfortunate.

It was announced a long time ago and they recently released a trailer that was total garbage. The developers say they're working to improve the situation, but I don't hold out hope for it to be a good game.

Seriously looks like a pile of hot steamy sh*t.

They are switching to Unity 5 though so I am still optimistic.

Wow, it looks bad.
I feel RCT3 looked better..........
The track for the coasters looks dumb.
Ahhh I need more details, just by that trailer alone, I am deeply disappointed.

Why the image of Goliath and its mid brake run part? Maybe "Get ready to do something!" appeal, I think. ;)

When I saw the trailer...
"What the..."

When I showed it to two cousins who play RCT3...
Girl: "Ugh." *runs outside*
Boy: "Kuya*, that killed us!" *runs outside as well*
*Kuya is a Filipino term for brother, but can also be used with older (male) persons of a not-too-big age gap depending on the relationship between the speaker and the subect

The textures and lighting actually look worse than RCT3.
The supports have even less detail than RCT2.
Putting the game video in the same time as a real POV of Goliath just made the graphics look worse.
Don't get me started on the layout they showed.

I hope their upgrade to Unity 5 and their realism updates as promised in the latest production blog post is actually taking place, and maybe they shouldn't have rushed a trailer with a prototype of this state.?????????
