and remember guys this is gunna be pretty fast. I mean its 2 to 3 mph faster than Xcelerator. ANd that thing is fast. The reason acceleration is down is prolly because of the wide trains or something

^ I wouldn't say wide trains, but rather train weight. You gotta remember that the reason why TTD has a slower acceleration over Kingda Ka is because they themed the trains up quite a bit, and it is a much heavier load because of it.
Also, it would be cool to see this utulized. Its basically just an open air floorless degin. Instead of having tack above you like on the invert, and track below on a floorless, its kind of the cross between the two, your feet are just out in open air, so it might give a better illusion of flying in the front seat, then what the front seat of an invert or floorless might give you.
And it's not an inverter, it's a track walker. As you can see, people's wastes are at track level, therefore the track walker name seems fit.

PortAventuras new Rocket coaster is currently under its first construction stage. Fences are now all the way down the side of the entrance to the park, so it would seem constructing has begun.

This doesnt sound that great acceleration to me. 0 - 80 in 3.5 seconds?

I wouldn't take that for definite at the moment, they said exactly the same thing about Stealth if you remember correctly and everyone was complaining then.

My question is how someone got that video and posted it on youtube... must be someone with connections with the NL team.

Because it's not that much more exciting than a regular rocket coaster. The only main difference being that it is floorless, and will have more lats. And plus, we haven't seen anything truly amazing from the video, or heard any rumous claiming it will do something spectacular.

But as people have said, any rocket coaster is a winner[:)].
Plus the sheer fact that nobody knows the exact layout of the ride, or if it will do anything spectacular. Thus increasing exitement and anticipation of what the ride will exactly be.[:)].

the problem is, because the car is so wide, it won't have that much sideways manouvers, look at X, that one is 2 seats on each side of the track, this one has 3 cars on each side,

and x has a zero-G, i know, but look at things like helixes or fast turn, it's because there is so much difference from the left side to the right, lateralG's speaking, so i hope this aint a borig ride

The main reason I am not excited is for one reason...it's in Spain. It's a pain in the ass to get there and I don't really like the country that much (what I've seen of it) It's the same with Speed Monster, the chances are that I wont get to ride in any time soon, so I'm not all that excited about it. If they were building this coaster in the UK however, I'd be wetting myself with excitement

Since you brought this thread up I might aswell mention that the video posted above is the actual layout, and someone has posted a complete POV of it.

You'll see the NL defualt stations at the end, so we know it's in NL too!

From the looks of this ride, it will be a total GP ride. A complete gimmic with nothing to terribly exciting except a launch, some quick directional changes and speeds. But there probably won' be much force, and there doesn't seem to be any air hills involved. So not much sensation at all.

THE TECHNICAL FACTS:

Project: Thinkwell Europe SL
Located at: Mediterr?????????nia (PortAventura Park)
Coaster manufacturer: Intamin
Model: Accelerator Coaster
Launch System: Hydraulic Launch
Capacity: 1500 riders per hour
Length: 850 meters
Inversions: 1
Max Speed: 80 mph
Duration: 0:55
Max Acceleration: 0 #8722; 80 mph in 3,5 seconds
Cost: 27.000.000 Euros

Looks great first few lines, Accelerator Coaster, Intamin, Hydraulic Launch. Then it gets a little bland, o-80 in 3.5 and a duration of 55 seconds. 1 Inversion. And its costing 27,000,000. Its not like Universal dont have any money but it looks like they could have done better.

And with a layout like that, oh dear.
