WOAH!!!! this is going to be wayyyyyyy better than X2 by the looks of it. that 180 turn would be great, even better if it maintains a speed on that bank similar to X2's. It's interesting though that Arrow is getting better at 4ds: the ride no longer needs complex spines...

I might get the opportunity to ride this when summer rides around. can't wait.

Arrow is not getting better at designing 4D coasters, as they no longer exist. S&S, however, may be. I still can't get over the initial misshapen raven turn that Eejanaika and this coaster both feature.

urrrrrrr The name of the coaster is ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? which means a flying dragon in the sky.
disgusting ~isn't it?

OCT Wuhan once wanted to use this name for their Maurer Sky Loop coaster, but finally gave up the idea.

It is said you'll face the ground at most times when you go down the first drop, and at the bottom it will put some intense high Gs which will make you very uncomfortable.

From my point of view, I don't expect it do better than Eejanaika. I hope the ride experience won't be as poor as the name and the theming.

No offense against asia, but stop to translate to english for your coaster names. Its sounds awful.

Actually when you take chinese slang into account it actually translates to "Roller Dragon", or for more snazziness, "Ascending Dragon."

Looks cool. I don't understand the whole rocking thing in the beginning of these coasters right before the life hill.

Yeah, it almost seems like they let a child design the 3rd rail

Clearly you haven't ridden a 4d before. it shakes of its own accord due to the nature of the seat rotation being controlled by racks. X2 has those wobbly regions, but these seats wobble pretty bad even for 4D standards...

Correct I have never ridden a 4d coaster before so I am not sure what you mean. Isn't the rotation controlled based on the position of one of the rails? Is there a gap between the rail and the wheel that runs along this rail that has to be stabilized or balanced back out at the beginning of each run?

It looks incredibly painful just like X2. Look at how the legs bounce around like crazy. That sh*t hurts a lot IRL!

That's what I always thought. But shouldn't the 3rd rail be smoothed out? Oh wait, it was Arrow's idea, nevermind.

The ride is not as painful as it looks, those are dummies who are probably simulating a relaxed person on the ride. I doubt anyone in here would relax on a 4D.

Also the reason it bumps is to save space. If all the seats rotated consistently forward then the rail would rise way too high. so, it adjusts the seat motion kind of like hitting the seat upward then preventing it from returning to 0 degrees, like slamming a door with the lock up. It saves steel and space. Take a look at the 3rd rail. It's as smooth as the rest of the track so smoothness clearly isn't a factor (Arrow dissers!). When you ride you probably won't notice it anyway.

^Not quite, buddo.

It's jerky because the outside rails change their relative positions to the rest of the track too abruptly. Also, the trains themselves son't ride so smoothly on the track. Here's a better explanation of how the track system works. http://www.ultimaterollercoaster.com/co ... rain.shtml

"The Four-foot tall rack gears move up and down following the profile of the seat rotation rails below the vehicle. This gear rotates the seats forwards and backwards throughout the ride."
