what a day it was so here is the trip report with photos.
i arrived early in the morning as i set out early to meet up with some peeps from towerstimes that morning so i was the 5th person onto the carpark. it was very wet and raining pretty hard

and here comes the carridge to whisk me toi the entrance

at the entrance you get the cool usual welcome from the giant pumpkin and the scarefest welcome sign over the uncrowded gates. yeah the wet and cold kept alot of people away today

the usual awsome themeing with hundreds of pumpkins and the hurse

LOOK AT THAT GUYS, its a floor tile...............WOW

yes its still wet even as we head to nemesis

we got on nemesis in no time as there was no que and while it was like this AIR called but it broke down while we was at the gates for 15 mins

and while wet ripsaw is still very wet so thats a miss

then on the way to oblivion we came across the COCK PUDDLE

its secret wepon 4 AKA oblivion

up they go

and down they come apart from the few poor fellows who got caught on the fence

now its about 1pm and its time for the first maze of the day terror of the towers

this year the maze went the opozite way through the towers and this worked much more to there advantage than the other way round the que at this point is 45 mins

ready now everyone to do the conga through the maze

terror of the towers this year was amazing, we did the maze twice, once early on and the final people to walk through. through the maze the first room was the box room of the renovation, lots of tipping boxes and loud bangs to frighten you as well as a tunnel which almost brings you to a crawl, first time there was no actors in here but on the night there was 2 actors in there. the 2nd part was a house with many windows and terrorable corners and plenty of actors jumping out of corners and windows in here to give some great scares. 3re piece was the monks chapple, again lots of corners and small windows and many monk manakins around, of corse you unknowing how many of them are actors so that part is extreamly scary. finally you travel down some stairs into the strobe maze. simple chain link fencing wich is very tight and the strobes are 2 quick and then 2 a pause so the actors would be a good way away then appear right infront of your face. extramly frightening then on the way out stll in the strobes you go between shelveing and get blaster with air cannons and actors jumping out on you. the whole experience made for a very frightening one but this years maze was the best one i have ever been in. right anyway on with the trip report.
the trick or treat doors are back for the kiddies. im pretty shure that one witch has a pretty big trick under them cloths

time for food and really really big burgers

a new one this year with hex live. this wasent somthing alton towers actually planned but something the actors actually organised on there own and it was very enjoyable. lots of actors in here with the hex cycle still as normal but with 4 actors in each room at one time. it was very very cool and scary

now time for some gouldy support slapping

look towers times having fun

is it cold? well the ears are anyway

rapids are fun

RANDOM LIGHT

HEX LIVE, it really kicked arse. lots of actors in here and jumping out from unexpected places with loud bangs and distracted places. 2 actors didnt make any scares though that was the bride in the window and the lady with a shovel they just stuck out like a saw thumb but there was some very good scares in there

as the night rolled in there was some great shots and some great rides on nemesis which is always awsome in the dark

ripsaw is also fun at night if a little cold

a little rest while half way over towards spinball wizzer

the most clueless pair of fire performers ever, they were playing with fire whips and 1 hit himself with it then they both accidentally hit them together and get the tangled then they got these lit up over size cotton buds out and walked in a circle holding them in the air, threw them as if to eachother and just steped back. seriously weak guys try harder next time.

spinball wizzer is always fun whenever its ridden, still one of my top 3 coasters in alton towers

now its getting dark and spooky

X-sector and oblivion at night, way way more fun than in the day

great atmosphere in this area

the towers are also now all spookyfied

toad stool is also fun at night but still not one of the rides i do ride so i left it out

challie and the chocolate factory is a very pointless ride and replaced a much better one but hey, its quiet and its another one off the list

rita is great at night. but they really needed to take away alot of the lights from the area. but its still alot of fun

my favorite photo of a ride in alton towers to date that i have taken

i have a rita medal, arent i great

very dark and spooky tunnel, i think ill stay out of there thankyou

a short stop at the shop on the way out is always needed

till next year alton towers i will see you the first day of next season

random teddys

the towers hotel is very very pretty with all the lights

a scene from shakespeare mabye?

this is the van outside the boiler house. its an extreamly fun maze with lots of scares, wierd masks, distractions, low parts, fiber optics and the vighina airbags, really a fun and frighteng maze and i carnt wait to go on again next year

finally a very bad picture of the field of 1000 screams. more like the field of 40 winks though. this maize maze was seriously bad. there needed to be more actors and there could of really been alot more scares especially it being a field with alot of hiding places and the bus they had they really could of made it special but it just wasent. it was at the point where we all walked around with hands in pockets and had a good long chat with sammy. seriously the worst maze ever and im glad its not returning next year.

the whole day was fantastic and very very enjoyable with some great scare mazes but the field was a dissapointment.
