"- NEVER use a full circut track, NEVER. It doesn't work, EVER. Use a track from the lift to the MCBR for example. NO CLOSED CIRCUTS! Also, don't include any speed changing device (transport, brake, lift, station) in the heartline file, it screws everything up."

Just do blue track mainly. AHG by block, not by individual segments.

Yeah so like from lift to brakes or transport (launch) to brakes.

I'm no expert on AHG but I never really get problems, and I consider myself to be pretty good at using it..But I've ran into a problem, is it possible at all to AHG 90+ degree angles? I'm trying to heartline a distorted tophat thing and on the ascent and descent it ends up going past 90+ degrees in some way. Every time I AHG it, I get mad twists all over the place. Can I heartline it or will it just not work?

A few more AHG questions...

-What is the standard heartline for an X-car coaster?

-How do I make sure the banking on the first/last segment of track is 0*? (I color it black, but the track still banks...GRR)

You need to up your precision on that part so that it follows your directions more precisely.

But if you want your precision to stay where it is, make the filter color very low - like next to black. I usually stage it. The last 2-3 segments are Black for banking and filter is like a shade of red that has a number of about 20. Then the next 3-4 are like 50. Then the next are like 70. Then my normal filter is like around 100. Some areas, higher, some lower.

When I download some of the coasters from the exchange it has the really small segments like in the tutorial, does the program do that for you or do you have to make the segments really small yourself, or does the heartline generator do that.

AHG actually outputs the segments like that, depending on the value of segments you put in. However, if you are using a very small amount of segments on the input track (say, one segment for every 30 feet), the track will typically not come out very well. AHG works much better when the track you put through it has a lot of smaller segments; I usually use segments from 5-10 feet long (when handbuilding) for the best results.

If you have a 90 degree or more than vertical drop can you ahg it?

If you put enough filter on the past 90????????? segment, probably 700+, it might not twist since the filter will smooth the banking out.

^Hmm, yeah, that might work...
Altho, probably not on something like a 97????????? drop...
More like, completely vertical.

Hmmm.. I've done exactly what the tutorial says (I'm trying to make a 0-G-roll), but the outcome is just one straight piece of track!

What can I possible have been doing wrong?

I've got green leading out of a dip and wanting the top of a camelback hill to be just a straight airtime hill. Then i have red leading into the turn at the base of the camelback hill. The segments at the top of the hill are black. Well, The track does not invert but it sways L to R with some banking before returning to the 0 banking base of the hill. it does this on TWO hills but does not do it on the other 3 hills. Anyone have any imput? I would refer to the pictures in the tutorial but ....yeah
