Wildfire is testing. The hype is real.

Looks nice for it's first run. That drop looks insane with that 270?? curve. Still no fan of all that weaving and wobbling with that track banking though xD

Wow this is definately for those who can't be satisfied with the "Lightning Rod" hardcore experience! Well, is it just me or this one looks like a "rocky" (Great foliage, though!) mountain coaster, compared to LR standing on a "deep forest" mountain?

:D

The first RMC with some serious balls. I like it.

This might be the new #1 coaster on the planet. Keep in mind this video was shot the first day it was running, it's not even CLOSE to broken in yet. Think about that.

Outlaw Run is actually pretty close intensity-wise, it's just a lot shorter.

Btw, for what it's worth, the real pov is 3 seconds longer, peak of drop - to start of breaks, than the CGI pov.

That thing sure has some spastic banking. I love the dip under the first drop near the end. Should be a phenomenal ride!

I hate the way the layout just kinda wanders, and wish they'd put in some normal ejector airtime hills, but otherwise looks amazing.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

If you look at the layout plan I don't think it wanders too much at all. To me it's actually very cohesive, moreso than say Outlaw Run (which I also think looks incredible).

Yeah, as far as the purpose built RMCs go, this one seems far more compact in its layout. It crosses itself multiple times, for example, which isn't exactly a theme of RMC rides.

I do think all of the purpose built RMCs really could benefit from even just one simple air hill, though. Wildfire is no exception to that.

I say this from the point of view of someone who has never ridden an RMC, though, so I could be completely wrong about that. Those twisty banked hills could be the absolute tits for all I know.

You seriously have no idea....TC was the first coaster to ever make me giggle as a reflex; the transitions are seriously indescribable.

On the other hand, both RMC's i've ridden have regular airtime hills (NTG and TC) so I can't really complain.

Additionally, both storm chaser and wicked cyclone have regular airtime hills. I honestly believe that people are really exaggerating the "lack of regular airtime hills" on RMC coasters, but I do agree on the point of the purpose-built RMCs perhaps benefiting from one.

This has at least one straight airhill, at 0:57 into the POV. It's not large but it's fast. I don't think it's a big deal, especially with such an excellent layout.

^^ This is even comparable with the SFFT's Iron Rattler because of "rocky" environments. Wildfire has got fewer trees than the deep woods around exhilarating turns for Lightning Rod.

Wow this one and LR are neat "terrain" woodies! :)

It may not be broken in yet. But the first test run is always done with wheels that have the lowest friction possible. Just to be sure that it clears the entire course. I think when the normal running wheels are put into place and the ride is broken in, it would deliver a similar ride. :)
