Anyone know if this is open or is the RMC issue still not resolved yet?

RIP lol

Kolmarden may be forced to tear Wildfire
Kolmarden Zoo may have to tear his big bet Wildfire. The building permit for the newly opened rollercoaster has been repealed.
Several local residents have criticized the major attraction of wood, which opened last summer. Among other things, they believe that it causes too much noise - and now repeal the Land and Environmental Court building permit for the rollercoaster, reports SVT News East.
"We had hoped for a different outcome, but we are well prepared for the different scenarios. Before we know how we should proceed, we will now put us into the reasons for the decision. Then we will meet with the municipality to evaluate our options," says Christer Fogelmarck, acting CEO of Kolmarden zoo, in a press release.
Land and Environmental Court notes that the rollercoaster is already built, but estimates that it requires a detailed plan. According to Swedish Television News East, however, the municipality of Norrk??ping zoning add the area afterwards.
The judgment states that roller coaster causes a significant environmental impact, including on wildlife and the surrounding natural areas. The Court also points such as increasing traffic. The overall assessment is that the building should have been preceded by the municipality measure examined through a detailed plan.

They'll just do a Ghostrider and build sheds over the high sections.

No way in hell they'll be required to dismantle it.

Is it just me or does the text say that the residents are planning to appeal the decision that gave Kolmarden permission to build Wildfire in the first place?

I wouldn't worry to much about it. Complaining neighbours will complain.

I imagine there are ways to mitigate the problem, so you would hope this doesn't stay as SBNO for ever more.

I hope the complaints are overruled and those complaining form an angry mob and torch it. If you name an RMC "Wildfire" you have to deal with the inevitable consequences.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

There were 18 official complaints. Some of the complaining people lived up to 200 Km away ??

That's a joke right? What complaint could they have possibly given?

They should only be allowed to complain about the coaster being built too far away from them.

Well if that's a complaint why would they close it still?
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

According to all known Swedish laws of environment and noise, there is no way Wildfire should be able to operate.

Its structure is too damaging to the surrounding area and neighbors ears.

But Wildfire, of course, rides anyway because coasters don't care what humans think is annoying.
I'm not brand new to NL2 so ignore how many posts I have atm, I post a lot other places :)

I always liked when SFDK thought no one would notice that V2 was 30ft above the height requirement.
