Congrats to unfortunate smiley, and big thanks to CJD for your encouraging rates. Im really happy to get 11th after only having had NL since December, and Im sure I'll be back.

^Your first round track was freakin' awesome! This one was good too, you just kind of neglected the point of the contest... building a really original coaster. I'll admit that I'm impressed, if you have only had NL for that long. It took me about 3 years of building before I could make coasters that good.

Good game Coasterteddy (My god, if you're this good already... well... wow). Thanks CJD for taking your own time to judge, and thanks Tyler for constructive criticism (or rather just plain criticism... whichever...).

Also, for Jimmy Yoshi: I'm pretty sure I'm not "Something inbetween." I never have done anything worth-while with tools. I don't even use the AHG.

In any case, Hoorah I'm in round three! Against someone who apparently will not be submitting an entry...
I feel somehow disappointed. Anyways, could we get a ballpark estimate for the start of the next round?

(^ and ^^) No Way... Thats fab! Thankyou!
I guess the tools must be a more recent thing though... handbuilding is soo hard to get smooth results with.
On my round 2 ride I wanted some more original elements but after some fiddling around I was running out of time and what I had was lame so I cut my losses and went basic, so I can't say it came out like I wanted, it was more a case of getting a track in from a to b in the end[lol]... O well.

But yeah, I think joining this comp certainly opened my eyes and I have a much better idea of how I can improve now.

Im looking forward to seeing how the next 2 rounds turn out, Ive seen some good stuff so far.

Yeah, i'm pretty much the same as you coasterteddy. I've only had NL since October, and both of our tracks weren't original.

Same here Jake, but I have a bad habit of not finishing coasters, lol. But I for one am not a tooler, they confuse me.[LOL]

Well, the next round will require a lot of originality also... no so much in the department of creating elements, but merely navigating the template. this is going to be a very tough round, so I think I'm going to give everyone two weeks this time instead of 10 days.

"Unfortunately, everything after that was horrible (not an understatement.)"

Yea.. I could've told you that.. lol
I really wish I would've had more time for this.. I loved the template, coaster type, guidlines, I got so hyped after those first two elements just rolled out.. just didn't have time. Oh well, instead of staying here and winning an online contest, I went to DC with my school band and won the national contest. So I've won something in a way. [:D]

Congratz to Mikado and all of the other winners.

I'm becoming pretty curious of what Round 3 is going to be about. Originality and a hard template.. Damn, I've got a feeling this round is gonna be hard, especially against Jimmy [:)]. Any idea when it will start?

Used Coasters:
Goliath (both)
SpeedMonster

Un-used coasters:
The Voyage
Tatsu
Black Mamba
Expedition Everest
El Toro
Kentucky Rumbler
Patriot
Stealth
Flying Turns

Think about it... I said that navigating the template would be very difficult this time. Then, eliminate the coaster types that are similar to what has been done already in the contest. So, taking all of that information and combining it with the coaster list should give you an idea of what to prepare for.

Flying turns? Yea...cause NL lets us recreate that ;)

Plus its not due till 2007 isnt it?

My money is on Black Mamba style.

Un-used coasters:
- The Voyage (option 1)
- Tatsu (flying coaster, not in NL, so it can drop off)
- Black Mamba (option 2)
- Expedition Everest (would require 3d mountain. But i don't think this will be used...)
- El Toro (Wooden hyper coaster too much like goliath)
- Kentucky Rumbler (also option 1)
- Patriot (would be possible but black mamba would be way more of a challenge, so this won't be chosen)
- Stealth (we had already a rocket in the challenge)
- Flying Turns (Euh... How are we going to recreate this? NOT! [lol])

So the options:
The voyage/Kentucky Rumbler style woody.
and
Compact black mamba style b&m inverted.

I'll guess woody for round 3, and the inverted for round 4 [:D]
Coastercount: 1410 (I've seen the world and it's horrid contraptions... @.@)
- Wood: 142
- Steel: 1268

And what about a Vekoma SLC (Kumali)? [:D] Can be quite challenging as well, hehe.

^I'm still mad at them for destroying a true schwarzkopf classic, so them and their Vekoma SLC can go to hell. [:p]
