The name change to The Joker is official.

In 2016 Six Flags Great Adventure Prepares for THE JOKER!

Six Flags Great Adventure???s 14th and most unique coaster will be nothing to laugh at. After heading straight up a 12-story, 90-degree hill, this 4-D, free-fly coaster will wreak havoc as you flip head-over-heels at least six times along the weightless journey. You will experience exhilarating leaps and dives along a horizontal plane, along with unexpected drops as you tumble from one level to the next. The wing seats amp up the pandemonium since you will experience all of this chaos with no track above or below ??? just the sky, ground and adjacent Great Lake churning around you!

THE JOKER Facts
??? Massive, imposing, floating and twisting I-box track frame in a unique two-tone design
??? One-of-a-kind onboard magnetic technology featuring smooth head-over-heels free-fly flips providing you the feeling of weightlessness as you soar outside the confines of a traditional track
??? 4-D wing vehicles that seat up to 8 per vehicle with a total of 5 vehicles
??? Face-off seats that allow you to face each other as you tumble head over heels
??? A 120-foot-tall, 90-degree hill that is ascended by an elevator-style, chain link lift
??? Two beyond 90-degree ???raven??? drops giving the sensation of free-falling

THE JOKER will give a whole new skyline to the Lakefront section of the park.

What is it with Great Adventure and changing names halfway through the offseason? At least now they'll actually have a stati- oh wait.
Eh, I like the Joker colors way better than the weird twix thing they were going for so ??\_(???)_/??.
Mind Bender at SFOG is pretty great

I personally like this name better. Total Mayhem sounds more like a name you'd give a coaster in RollerCoaster Tycoon.

This looks like ass and is going to be horrible in front of the water. I will bet money on the fact that SF painted both rides manufactured at RMC the same color to save money on paint.

It's about cross marketing, the same reason there are so many Superman's and Batman's. Expect to see more of The Jokers coming to a park near you. lol

I was wondering if the DC licensing/copyrights/legal crap would make the ride more expensive overall.

Possibly have a chain wide deal to use it where they please (or perhaps on a certain number of rides)

My complaint isn't with the retheme, its with SFs sudden interest in putting a description inside the name, "El Diablo looping coaster(and all their Larson loops) and now with this "4d fly coaster". I just don't quite understand why this became needed.
What are these for?

^ It's kind of the same thing. While they don't say it anymore, Kingda Ka's slogan was Kingda Ka: The King of all Coasters.

I would have liked to see it become "Aquaman" if we stick with the DC theme. Plus, its in front of the lake.

Does six flags have a rule against the trains being balanced on the rides that already exist?(Batman, Green Lantern)

I think this looks better than the red/yellow did, honestly. However I don't like this rail scheme on the SFDK Joker.

Wow I'm curious about that as well! You've just put a good question! :)

They do not. Only ride this maybe qualifies for is Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro. Zumanjaro just has to have the same number of people in each gondola (you can tell why). Kingda Ka can only have 4 seats empty per train.

^ Oh, I was not talking about grat adventure, I meant the 4-d coasters six flags built in the other parks, both Intamin and S&S. Anyone can see the advantages of an unbalanced train, so I figured SF might have some rues against this to have more control

S&S Free fly coasters don't have double sided seats so it wouldn't matter if they had a rule or not!

Perfect, just what this park needs. Another low capacity prototype ride.

Where's the like button when you need it.

Hopefully lines for the other rides will be shorter because of this ride.

I can not wait to ride this, I never been to SFGA, but Total Mayhem is a stupid name for that coaster, but they added theming for the queue as you see in that video. Going this summer 8-) 8-)

It can get 720pph while that's not amazing it's not that low either. For it's size and space requirements it's not too bad.

That's theoretical capacity... aka the number that operations rarely hit. (Even more rare for a Six Flags park)

The actual capacity would probably be around 400 - 500pph at most and that is if GAdv dispatches a train every 60 seconds.
