I guess they have changed the privacy. Since it did work when I posted it.

I assume the highlight of this ride is absolutely from the vertical drop to the right banked turn after "Dunno which way is up or down!" inversion. The rest is like a bunch of quick transitioned elements, though.

Anyway, that weird but good looking inversion must be a landmark! :)

That overbank though, what were they thinking?! (In a good way)

That is absolutely amazing. Insane speeds and so much low to the ground action. The sequence of overbanks after the "non-inverted sea serpent" are so quick! Works for my bitchass.

I love the intamin style quick transitions here that feel almost out of control yet form something good. That first element is just outstanding

Ride is opening tomorrow with incomplete theming which will be finished for the 2016 season.

Also the vertical lift includes a freefall.

Freefall (as a thrill ride) that will be attached to a tower, or does this ride include a "freefall" function? ;)

The vertical lift includes a freefall! Around 10m before the end of the lift, the chain detaches and the train rolls back to a height of around 20m. Must be an incredible surprise for everyone! According to the press (media day was yesterday), K??rnan is one of the best coasters in europe! Can't wait to ride it tomorrow :)

Serious respect for Gerstlauer breaking out to do this. I can't help but think The Smiler was a test of concept for the idea, structurally anyway.

Too bad I'm kinda spoiled now with this information. This would have been an excellent surprise for any enthusiast.

Holy hell I thought it had an elevator lift. I wonder how the antirollbacks work?

Same as on smiler and hydraulic launch coasters. Fins go up as soon as the train passed a set of them.

I'm curious though how that drop effect works since the trains has to detach somehow of the main chain and eventually hook back up later on. Or perhaps they stop the lift motor and put it's free so it can drop down.

Now I'm really eager to go there as soon as possible just to experience and check this all out by myself. :)

Yeah, this is what really interests me. They're certainly pushing the boat out yet again - I just hope they're working within their capabilities!

I'm pretty certain it is only possible due to the way Gerstlauer lifts work, whereby the chain-dog so to speak is actually located on the chain itself and pushes the train up the lift as opposed to a chain dog being on the train. My guess would be the dogs, at certain positions on the chain, can retract, or, they vary in height and an indentation of the chain trough allows the smaller dog to release the train, and a taller dog further down the chain can re-engage and continue to push the train over, and past the indentation. Know I think about it, it's much harder to explain than I though. :P
